Promoting Gender Diversity At Sea
The shipping industry has a disproportionate number of men, and it is important that we encourage more women to join the business. One way we are doing so is by offering what is possibly India’s first holistic support structure for aspiring female cadets – a bond-free scholarship covering all tuition fees for her entire academic tenure, and guaranteed placement on ships with Synergy Ship Management. Cadets can then look forward to a supportive work environment where Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging are emphasized on shore and sea.

Recipients of BW LPG India’s full scholarship, Samriddhi and Ann could focus on their academic pursuits and career in shipping without worrying about finances. Upon graduation, both can look forward to embarking on a career out at sea. We are confident that Cadet Samriddhi and Cadet Ann will find their sea legs quickly, and excel in their chosen profession at sea. Fair winds and following seas, Cadets!
